• Got this new lipstick thang. Dropped a whole lotta money on it cause I didun think better to check and already fell in love with it at the counter!!

S.A.D. Psychopaths.

• This weekend I watched "Seven Psychopaths" 
• Good, but wayy bloodier than I had expected..
• Kinda like my "Django Unchained" experience
• So I guess, if gore is your thing - go for it !!
• "Seven Psychopaths" featured this amazing version of "The first cut is the deepest" by PP Arnold - so I built a playlist around it. Ish. 
• Also starting to realized what a downer this mixtape is - blaming it on the grey skies.. :(

• Tried to visit the Mario Testino exhibit this weekend - MAJOR FAIL. 
• Didn't even make it to the museum.. :(
• Better Luck Next Time!!!

• Wore my green tie-dye shirt (made by me!! :D), thrifted flanel shirt, old belt, jeans, sneaks & topped off with my name script necklace (can't really see it), and a green bauble pin (which I tried & failed to photograph). 
• Ahh. #AyyFerEffort.

• In other non-news:
• Slowly whittling away at my candy stash #ElloPanda !!
• Back on my tv-watching regimen & restarted watching MISFITS! (still love it).
• Also saw "Anna Karenina" - so sad. :( :'( :(
• Luh me some tragic romance a la Joe Wright 

Real Life. Real Snow.

• Back at school, back to life in the snow. 
• Wore my flower dress (made by me!), black turtle neck, black tights and sneakers!
• Also my new spidey earrings!

• Tried to focus on these puppies, but it was a little tricky!! :P

• I'm excited for big things to come but missin' home like crazy!

•  Went to the Library the other day and the courtyard was lightly dusted in snow!! woa!
• At least it's stopped snowing so I can wear my sneakers again!! :D

• Also finally went grocery shopping tonight - so I will not starve! or have to eat ramen again!
• But, I don't hate it!

• I tried to make a bowling-inspired/themed mixtape this week... we'll see how this goes!
• Definitely inspired by the Disney Channel Original Movie "Alley Cats Strike"

• During my researched I even learned that Kaley Cuoco (OF BIG BANG THEORY FAME) was in this movie!!
• What a classic childhood gem!! 
• Most certainly going to re-watch when I have time!!

• Got to get together with some of my old friends and go bowling !! :D 
• I love bowling even though I suck at it. 
• After about 3-6 rounds it was gutter ballz all da way!

• To cap off our adventure we went to a games store that sold all these super cool games and comics.
• There were a lot of serious gamers - especially ones into Magic cards and role playing games!
• WOAH. 
• We sot a lot of expensive miniature fake trees & fake rocks & fake grass & fake lagoons. 
• There was one dinner party game set that is like a murder-mystery party in a box! :O ! :D ! :O ! 
• Ohh I wanted it! :D
• Also saw these funny comics - "White Dwarf" 
• I don't think they're meant to be funny doe.
• I am a short person.

• Just trolling around on tumblr like usual and found this cool collage artist's blog.

• Pascal Bernier
• Also took a quick look-see at French contemporary artist Pascal Bernier's work (& his still life farm sets in particular..)
• I am still not 100% sure how taxidermy makes me feel. It's crazy to think how casually people treat taxidermy and display them in intimate spaces... 
• Once, I went to a science museum with my friend and they had all these stuffed animals (beavers - with real teeth!!! :/ ) and baby bears that you could go up to and touch ....There were some patches on the animals worn down from over-petting. It gave me the shivers. I worked really hard to muster up the courage to pet it real quick, but after barely patting my hand on a dead wolf's back I just felt like I wanted to wash my hands..
• My friend Rachael had no problem stroking the stuffed animals and laughed at my nervousness. Haha.

• What initially caught my attention were his "Tableaux de Chasse" works, which feature taxidermied or skinned doe with wigs and makeup..
• Looks like Tyra Banks might have also gathered some inspiration from these pieces - an ANTM Cycle 20 photo challenge had models pretending to be mounted animal heads...

• Ran a google image search on 'tableaux de chasse' and found the resulting image (below)
• Also, not gunna lie, I kinda like these "hunting themed" scarves..

• and its amazingness + amazing music.

• The Row, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen's luxury fashion brand is joining forces with conceptual artist Damien Hirst for a limited edition series of their super popular Croc backpacks!!
• Ohhhh Laaaa Laaaaaaa
• These babies originally debuted last fall and literally flewwww off shelves - SEW PEPUEWLARR !!
• And now they're back with polka spots and multicolored pills :O :D :O

• Just picked up the The Tale of Genji - wish me & my short attention span luck!!
• Earlier this week I tried to read "One Day" - one of a bazillion books they made into a movie... haha
• BUT! I couldn't get past the first 60 pages :(
• a) because I'd already seen the movie - so true that movies SOMETIMES ruin the books..
• b) because I just realized I really don't like romance novels :P :P #yikyuk

• And on Book-based movies - I went to see "Jack Reacher" with my parents this weekend!
• My mom has read basically all the books
• I liked the movie so much I wish there were more about the other books haha
• and I really want to read the books too!!
